David Cohne is Owner of Cohne Holdings LLC and Editor and Publisher for No BS Investor. He is also President and Chief Investment Strategist for Cohne Investment Group (http://cohneinvestmentgroup.com/). He is responsible for setting investment policy and managing the firm’s proprietary portfolios. David is also owner of Introduction to Investing (http://introductiontoinvesting.com) , a beginning investor education program.
David was previously Global Publisher of Wealth Strategies Magazine, a unique publication strictly focused on advanced investing strategies. In addition, he served as Head Strategist, Contributor and U.S. Editor to ETF Radar (www.etf-radar.com), a European based magazine focused exclusively on the Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) marketplace.
He was previously Executive Vice President & Managing Director of Research at The Rankings Service, an investment research and consulting firm. David Cohne oversaw the development and implementation of investment research and strategy for the firm. He was instrumental in the creation and expansion of the proprietary manager database. Cohne had the day to day responsibility of managing the TRS Equity Indices and Fund of Fund portfolios, back testing portfolio strategies, supervising manager research and editing TRS publications. David also provided manager analysis for various consulting projects such as fund company transactions (M&A, buy outs, & manager lift outs), and customized manager reviews. David wrote the TRSreports Manager Spotlight, a weekly investment column that analyzed top fund managers.
In addition to his work at TRS, David was also Vice President of Fundworks, Inc., a financial publishing firm. He served as Senior Analyst for the Fidelity Investor, Fidelity Sector Investor, Forbes ETF Advisor & ETF Trader newsletters. He was responsible for researching and analyzing mutual funds and ETFs. His responsibilities also included performing quantitative back tests on ETFs, Sector Funds and other allocation strategies.
Prior to joining The Rankings Service, Mr. Cohne worked in portfolio management with Adviser Investments, where he developed investment tracking models, wrote quarterly fund analysis reports, assisted sales efforts, and provided client service and trading for high net worth clients.
Mr. Cohne received an undergraduate degree in Economics from Brandeis University and an MBA from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University. David resides just outside of Boston, Massachusetts.
